ESPA are a very successful Spa Consultancy, with a Health and Beauty Product Brand that is admired across the globe. Using a category management approach, Philip worked with the marketing team to deliver a new visual merchandising approach, navigation and POS messaging in retail and leisure outlets that has greater impact and aids the purchase decision by addressing the consumer shopping missions.
Philip also worked with the enthusiastic UK sales and retail teams to improve their commercial ability and hunger for sales through coaching and training as well developing key promotional mechanics, which has enabled them to pull their energy into tighter focus and put in place the appropriate trade activity and develop a deeper understanding of their customers’ needs.
This improvement in commercial ability and focus has culminated in the sales team achieving an increase in sales through identifying and meeting commercial opportunities in a very challenging retail market.
Whilst working with ESPA, Philip also worked directly on a significant trade commercial tender with a major leisure client and with the Harvey Nichols and Liberty buying teams to deliver a successful package of pos, in-store promotions and activity, which also led to increased sales.
